SATURDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews OSASUNA v REAL MADRID and BAYER LEVERKUSEN v BAYERN MUNICH with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
OSASUNA V REAL MADRID
3.15pm We have another cracking Saturday from Europe on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE! There’s no doubt that the highlight fixture of the day is Bayer Leverkusen hosting Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga later, but we kick the day off with Real Madrid in action against Osasuna in La Liga. Real Madrid were involved in that blockbuster clash against Manchester City midweek in the Champions League, getting out of trouble with two late goals to grab a 3-2 win. How many times have we saw Real Madrid in trouble in the Champions League only for them to pull it out of the fire? They are absolutely incredible under pressure. They now take a one goal lead into the second leg in Madrid, but they can’t afford to take their eye off the ball in La Liga. After a draw last weekend in the Madrid Derby, they come into this weekend with a one point lead over Atletico Madrid and a two point lead over Barcelona – we’re bound to have plenty of drama in the La Liga title race this season! As you would expect, Real Madrid come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.64 with Osasuna 5.9 and the draw is trading 4.4 at the time of writing.
We landed a lay on Real Madrid last weekend in the Madrid Derby, but I have to say we were a little lucky there. They played exceptionally good football finishing the game with an xG figure close to 3.0. Obviously Atletico Madrid are always well drilled and hard to beat, but Real should have won. They had a roller-coaster on Tuesday night but got the job done there, and it’s hard to get away from the 1.64 here. It’s not a bet to go mad about stakes wise, but for me it’s too big to ignore. Osasuna are your classic mid-table La Liga side and their xG figures are very average. Their average xG created is 1.22 which is a mid-table figure and they concede more chances than they create. Real Madrid only tend to come alive when their backs are to the wall, and they have played really well in two back-to-back big games now. For me they get the job done here before another massive game against City next week, and I’m not looking past them at 1.64 here. Real Madrid have won the last five meetings with Osasuna, and they’ve scored four goals each time in the last three meetings.

BAYER LEVERKUSEN V BAYERN MUNICH
5.30pm We move over to the Bundesliga to finish Saturday from Europe, and we have a blockbuster fixture here as Bayer Leverkusen host Bayern Munich. This is an absolutely must win game for Leverkusen with home advantage, otherwise the title race well-and-truly is over. It’s almost over already to be honest; more dropped points for Leverkusen last weekend meant Bayern took an eight point advantage. It’s hard to see that gap being closed given the gulf in class between the top sides and the rest in Germany – obviously a win here is the starting point. Bayern Munich come into the game as favourites at 2.36 with Bayer Leverkusen 3.15 and the draw is 3.8 at the time of writing. Bayern were involved in the Champions League midweek while Leverkusen had their feet up thanks to being in the top eight – Bayern grinded out a win away to Celtic. Although Bayern did drop points in the Champions League to settle for the playoff route, they have been close to flawless in the Bundesliga. Leverkusen had a slow start – only four wins from their first ten league games – and they never really recovered for that. As I said, it’s hard to make up that ground when there’s such a gap in quality between the top sides and the rest.
We should have a cracking game here though; these two have the top two attacking figures in the league. Bayern have an average xG created of 2.23 and Leverkusen are at 1.79. Bayern have also been better at the back – they have an average xG conceded of just 0.69 which is the best defensive figure in all of Europe’s elite leagues, while for Leverkusen it’s not far off double that at 1.21 – but that is still the second best. Basically, Bayern have just been on a different planet this season; obviously they were hurt with Leverkusen breaking their title winning run last season! I would definitely lean towards Bayern in the match odds market at 2.36 – I’d have them marginally shorter given how many chances and goals Leverkusen have leaked this season. However, we should get a very open and entertaining game here – I was surprised to see Over 2.5 goals trading as big as 1.67 when I clicked into the market and at that price I’m happy with a confident bet on goals!
