SATURDAY IN EUROPE: Our football tipster The Ultra previews Saturday’s games between ATALANTA v ROMA, BARCELONA v ELCHE and SEVILLA v ATLETICO MADRID all with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

ATALANTA V ROMA

2pm We might have a lot of issues around Europe, particularly the UK, with Covid19 postponements, but we have a fantastic Saturday in Europe! All football bets are 0% Commission on BETDAQ Betting Exchange on Saturday, and we have some excellent fixtures to enjoy in Serie A and La Liga. We kick off the action in Serie A with Atalanta hosting Jose Mourinho’s Roma. The wheels have really fallen off Napoli in recent weeks, and Atalanta start the weekend just three points away from top spot. Unfortunately for them, that spot is occupied by Inter Milan who won’t be easy to catch, but it’s definitely going to be a good title race this season. Roma got a much needed win on Monday night against Spezia. That was pretty much a must win game given how poor Spezia have been this season, and especially because of the pressure Jose Mourinho is under. I suppose that is always going to happen because he fights with the media wherever he is, and that just increases the target on his back. Although they controlled most of the game, they were still a little sloppy and they just can’t do that against Atalanta.

The home side had a tough time in the Champions League and had to settle for transferring to the Europa League, but in Serie A they have been in great form. They come into this game off the back of six wins in a row, and ten games unbeaten. They have beaten Juventus and Napoli in that run, and they have been unlucky in their two losses this season. Both times they created a higher xG. Their recent xG figures are very positive – you see figures like 2.61, 2.54 and 2.78. Obviously they have kept things tight in the games against the bigger sides, but this Roma side is going to give them chances. While Mourinho’s side started the season very strongly, they have come up short against the top sides and they have given away far too many chances. Atalanta will create far more than Roma here and that’s what will win the game – I’m happy to back the home win at 1.72.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Atalanta to beat Roma at 1.72 with BETDAQ Exchange.

BARCELONA V ELCHE

5.30pm Next we move to La Liga where we have two cracking fixtures this evening. No doubt all eyes will be on Sevilla v Atletico Madrid later tonight, but Barcelona v Elche is a very interesting fixture to enjoy beforehand. Barcelona let their backers down again last weekend with a 2-2 draw away to Osasuna. As I said in my preview of that game, you just look at games like that now and have no faith in Barcelona. It was nice to land a lay on them last weekend, but it would take a brave punter to lay them at home to Elche! You can see times have changed by looking at their price though, usually Barcelona would be around 1.2 for games like this at home, and now they are trading around 1.4. They will start this weekend sitting in 8th position, have been knocked out of the Champions League and they aren’t certain of seeing Champions League football next season either. It seems like more players could leave in the transfer window too. Difficult times for the fans. They should win here, but again I just don’t trust them enough to consider backing them.

Elche are a very limited side, and they are involved in the relegation battle towards the bottom of La Liga. They start the weekend sitting in 16th place, just two points ahead of Cadiz who sit in 18th. They actually recorded a massive 3-1 over Cadiz recently to give themselves that breathing space, and they will be treating this game as a bonus if they get any points. The problem for Barcelona these days is they have lost their fear factor, and even sides like Elche will come here to attack and believe they can get something. Elche have created plenty of chances recently which is positive, but they have also conceded a lot. I think we’ll see plenty of action in front of goal here, and over 2.5 goals is worth backing at 1.71. We should get a pretty open end-to-end game, and both sides have had issues at the back this season.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.71 with BETDAQ Exchange.

SEVILLA V ATLETICO MADRID

8pm We stay in La Liga to finish the day, and what a way to finish with Sevilla hosting Atletico Madrid. This is going to be a cracking fixture, and it deserves it’s place in the prime Saturday night TV slot. When you look at the table, you can really see what a massive game this is for both sides. For Sevilla, they want to prove that they can mix it with the big boys and really challenge Real Madrid this season – I know they will come up short, but even to closely challenge for the title would be a step up for them. And for Atletico Madrid, they have been well off the pace this season and need to win this game to get back into the mis. They might have a game in hand, but they start the weekend on the same number of points as Real Sociedad in 5th who have been very poor recently. Atletico were unlucky to lose to Real Madrid last weekend, they created a bigger xG, but that’s just the way this season has been going for them. They need something to turn things around and a win here could do just that – however you know their title has already gone looking at the table. They’re already 13 points behind Real Madrid.

It’s no surprise to anyone that we have a very open market here. Indeed, we actually aren’t far away from having 3.0 on each outcome which is quite rare! Sevilla are marginal favourites at 2.88 but there really isn’t anything in it. Sevilla deserve to be favourites based on their overall performance this season, but when you look at the underlining numbers coming into this fixture it suggests it’s a good time to back Atletico. Sevilla have had their fair share of unlucky results this season, but they were exceptionally lucky to beat Athletic Bilbao last weekend. They won 1-0 but conceded an xG of 2.31! As I said above, Atletico lost to Real Madrid but actually played well, they created an xG of over double what Real Madrid did. There’s no point saying we won’t have a very close game here because we will, but Atletico are the value for me at 2.98. I would just have them marginal favourites instead of Sevilla given the recent performances, but there isn’t much in this one!

The Ultra Says:
One point win Atletico Madrid to beat Sevilla at 2.98 with BETDAQ Exchange.
