LA LIGA THURSDAY Our football tipster The Ultra previews Thursday’s La Liga games between GRANADA v REAL SOCIEDAD and CADIZ v BARCELONA both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

GRANADA V REAL SOCIEDAD

6.30pm We have two very interesting La Liga games on Thursday to focus on BETDAQ Betting Exchange, and we start with Granada hosting Real Sociedad. Both these sides would have been delighted with draws in their last games against Barcelona and Sevilla. Particularly Granada who drew away to Barcelona. They didn’t exactly deserve to draw – xG finished 2.13 to 0.68 to Barcelona, but we landed our Both Teams To Score bet so that was nice! Real Sociedad played a much more even game with Sevilla, they came out marginally on top on xG but I don’t see how either team could have claimed they deserved to win. It was a very even game. You’d have to expect another even game here to be honest, and you can see why we have no odds on favourite.

Real Sociedad are heavy favourites however, trading around 2.1 at the time of writing. Since losing 4-2 to Barcelona on the opening weekend they have bounced back nicely. They are unbeaten – winning three of their five games. They won’t be unhappy with a 0-0 draw against Sevilla at the weekend either. Their xG figures have been good – 2.13, 0.82, 2.18, 1.74 and 1.3. Solid and consistent figures, you have to factor in the fact they are very far away from the top four. I know they finished fifth last season, but they were 15 points behind! As I said, Granada would have been delighted with a point against Barcelona but they are still in the relegation zone and under pressure. I can see their issue looking at their xG figures; they are simply conceding too many chances and that is what will decide the game here. I’m happy to take the 2.1 on Real Sociedad.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Real Sociedad to beat Granada at 2.1 with BETDAQ Exchange.

CADIZ V BARCELONA

9pm Next we have Cadiz hosting Barcelona in another very interesting game. Make no mistake, Barcelona are under pressure. They really need a win here – they have dropped to mid-table and I know it’s early in the season but they are already a little behind given they have drawn two of their four games. The table makes their situation look worse than it really is because of games in hand, however their game against Sevilla was pushed back and in their current form they will likely struggle to win that game. It’s hard to believe the owners of the club let things get this bad that they had to let so many players go – it’s such a shame, but that’s for another debate! The main problem I see for Barcelona is without Messi they have lost their fear factor – almost like Manchester United with Sir Alex Ferguson in England.

Cadiz took four points off Barcelona last season, and they will be hoping to keep their unbeaten run going here! When they had home advantage they recorded at 2-1 win, so while many casual football fans will expect an easy Barcelona win here, I wouldn’t be so sure. Cadiz also finally recorded their first win of the season in last weekends fixtures against Celta Vigo. They have been creating some decent chances, so they deserve to win given the way they were playing. Their problem seems obvious though – they concede too many chances. In their five games, they have conceded xG’s of 1.27, 1.91, 2.75, 2.18 and 1.5. Those are very worrying figures, and while I know Barcelona aren’t at their best at the moment – they should be able to get the job done here. I know the 1.57 factors in the change in players from Barcelona, but it’s still a few ticks too big for me given what Cadiz have conceded this season.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Barcelona to beat Cadiz at 1.57 with BETDAQ Exchange.
