THURSDAY LA LIGA: The Ultra previews Thursday’s matches between LEVANTE v SEVILLA and REAL SOCIEDAD v BARCELONA both including a recommended BETDAQ bet.

LEVANTE V SEVILLA

6pm The La Liga action just keeps coming this week, and we have another cracking evening on BETDAQ Betting Exchange on Thursday. Real Sociedad v Barcelona will be a fascinating game later tonight, but we start the evening with Levante hosting Sevilla. Readers of this column will know just how unlucky Levante have been this season – they sat rock bottom for ages but they were never playing that bad. It’s an example of how a slow start to the season can just snowball and ;eave you in a very difficult position, but it’s nice that they have started to get some wins now. They should have never been in the relegation zone, and if you look at the xG table they are currently sitting in 10th – a remarkable difference. I am hoping that Levante can somehow stay up, because they don’t deserve to go down. Indeed if they do go down, they just have to try keep this team together and they should have no trouble staying up. However clubs are so into stats these days, if they do go down they’re going to face a lot of offers for certain players. Sevilla will be a popular bet this evening, but I can see Levante making their life difficult.

Levante lost their last home game here to Barcelona, but the 3-2 score line doesn’t tell the full story. Levante played superb, and finished the game with an xG of 3.46 – that’s a really eye-catching performance against a side like Barcelona, and then they created an xG of 4.68 in a 4-1 win away to Granada at the weekend. In my view, Levante are playing their best football of the season at the moment and it’s a good time to support them – they have good momentum and now they must feel that they can stay up too. Sevilla have their hands full here, and they come into this game struggling too. Apart from a 4-2 win over Granada, they don’t have much to shout about. I know they had to play Barcelona and Real Madrid recently, but their other games weren’t impressive either and they crashed out of the Europa League against West Ham too. It’s very tempting to lay Sevilla and have the draw on your side – I would strongly recommend that to be honest, however I’m going to go for it with the Levante win at 3.6. There’s so much in their favour here I believe that they can pull off a massive win.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Levante to beat Sevilla at 3.6 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

REAL SOCIEDAD V BARCELONA

8.30pm We finish the evening with a cracker as Real Sociedad host Barcelona. After a much improved Barcelona went on a fantastic run under Xavi, they have hit a wall this past week. Since they beat Sevilla 1-0 at the start of the month they have put in four poor performances. They only managed an xG of 0.45 away to Eintracht Frankfurt in the first leg, beat Levante but conceded an xG of 3.46, then lost to Eintracht Frankfurt with home advantage in an odd performance and then lost on Monday night against Cadiz. That win was absolutely huge for Cadiz who are in the relegation fight, but Barcelona were bang average – they could have claimed a draw but they didn’t deserve to win. I have to say it’s hard to know what type of performance we’re going to get from Barcelona here, the jury is definitely out. One question worth considering is; has the Xavi momentum faced and we’re back to the average Barcelona we saw earlier in the season? That’s something to ponder over the next two weeks. Real Sociedad will be a good test too – they don’t create much and generally keep games very tight, but they have a good record at home and this will be a difficult evening for Barcelona. I felt they would be trading a little higher than their current 2.2 and I couldn’t put anyone off the lay.

Real Sociedad played out a pretty boring 0-0 here on Friday night against Real Betis. They managed to keep Betis down to an xG of 0.41 which is a good achievement, and I would suggest they set up very defensively here. It’s also remarkable to think about how much has happened Barcelona since they beat Sociedad 4-0 on the opening weekend of the season! This is a game for small stakes as it’s hard to judge what type of performance we’re going to get from Barcelona. The Barcelona lay at 2.2 is obviously a very tempting bet, but at the same time Barcelona have been scoring more goals than Real Sociedad and we could see them grind out a 1-0 or 2-0 win. I feel the best option here is under 2.5 goals at 2.02. I’d have this odds on looking at how few chances we see in Sociedad games, and they aren’t going to make this an open game either. With Barcelona searching for a spark again, we could see Sociedad hold them to a low scoring draw and unders is worth a small bet.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Under 2.5 goals at 2.02 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
