EUROPA LEAGUE TUESDAY: Our football tipster The Ultra previews Tuesday’s early game between CELTIC v FERENCVAROSI with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

CELTIC V FERENCVAROSI TC

3.30pm We have Europa League action to enjoy on Tuesday afternoon as Celtic host Ferencvarosi! I have to say 3-30pm on a Tuesday afternoon is a very unusual time for a European game, but Celtic had no other option really. There is a Cop26 Conference taking place in Glasgow on Matchday 4 and the police informed the club they couldn’t have a home match. Then, they also got told Glasgow couldn’t host two home matches on the same Matchday (this one!) and then on top of that UEFA also told Celtic they couldn’t clash with a Champions League game.

So, all this has ended in the game being played at 3-30pm which you have to say isn’t ideal for the home fans. It’s great for football fans on BETDAQ Betting Exchange though because we have a full day of football with this game at 3-30pm, Champions League at 5-45pm and 8pm – it should be a great day! I have to say though, I find it very ironic that UEFA told Celtic they can’t clash with the Champions League, and then they play the Champions League Quarter Finals over two nights both at 8pm instead of one at 5-45pm and the other than 8pm each night!

Anyway, UEFA are a law onto themselves. This is a huge game for both sides. They both arrive into this fixture with no points from their opening two games, and we all know that they won’t be getting through to the next round with Bayer Leverkusen and Real Betis in their Group. Usually their European journey for this season won’t be over, but now with the Europa Conference League it makes these two fixtures between them massive. Usually Celtic would be a lock to beat a side like Ferencvarosi, but they have been very poor this season.

Rangers went the full season unbeaten last season, and you can see that Celtic won’t be challenging for the title in Scotland for a while. They are only four points behind Rangers after Rangers have dropped a few points recently, but they also have Hearts and Dundee United between them. In European, they’ve shipped eight goals in their two games – while Ferencvarosi have only conceded five. I can see this game being very close between two very average side and Celtic look a good value lay at 1.65. Don’t forget Ferencvarosi were able to beat them in Champions League qualifying only recently!

The Ultra Says:
One point lay (liability) Celtic to beat Ferencvarosi at 1.65 with BETDAQ Exchange.
