LIVERPOOL V PSG

8pm It’s crunch time in the Champions League this week on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE! The Cheltenham Festival kicks off on Tuesday, and after racing has finished all eyes will turn to Anfield as Liverpool host PSG. This is undoubtedly the highlight of the night with Barcelona red-hot favourites at home to Benfica with a 1-0 lead, Bayern Munich already 3-0 up against Bayer Leverkusen and Inter Milan take a 2-0 lead into the second leg against Feyenoord with home advantage too. PSG absolutely dominated the first leg but Liverpool stole a late winner – it’ll be interesting to see can PSG perform as well now away from home.

The xG figures from the first leg were ridiculous. Liverpool finished the game with an xG of 0.52 compared to PSG at 3.29. PSG could have easily put the tie to bed and won 3-0 or even more. Now they have a lot of work to do, against a Liverpool side that have been superb this season. They already have the Premier League title in the bag given it’s all over bar the shouting; but what makes this tie so interesting is no other side has been able to out-play Liverpool like PSG did in that first leg. It was absolutely incredible – but football is a funny old game; it’s also incredible that Liverpool came away with a win!

Liverpool had an easy fixture on paper at the weekend here against Southampton, but they made very hard work of winning as they went into half-time 1-0 down. PSG decided to rest players at the weekend given the Ligue 1 title is in the bag – that is a massive luxury given the gulf in class between PSG and the rest of Ligue 1. However, Arne Slot could have done the same – Liverpool are miles clear at the top of the Premier League and Southampton have been easily the worst side in the league this season too. One wonders will that make the difference here in what should be an intense game.

Liverpool come into the game as the favourites at 2.28 with PSG 3.05 and the draw is 4.1 at the time of writing. Obviously having watched the first leg, the first reaction to the market here is that Liverpool are too short; as I said above, no one else has out-played Liverpool like PSG did this season. However, with home advantage we will likely see a much improved Liverpool performance here. Let’s not forget that they have the best attacking figure in the Premier League too.

PSG started the Champions League poorly; they lost 2-0 away to Arsenal, and then got themselves into trouble in the Group stage with a draw to PSV and a loss at home to Atletico Madrid before losing to Bayern Munich. I would definitely lean towards the Liverpool lay from a value point of view but the main thing that is based on is last week. PSG need a similar performance, and they are unlikely to deliver that in my opinion. While we only saw one goal last week, we had a tonne of chances in an open game. I feel we’ll see another open game here as PSG have to chase it too – Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.6, but at just five ticks shorter, Both Teams To Score looks an excellent bet at 1.55 in what should be another very entertaining game.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Both Teams To Score at 1.55 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
