WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS: Our football tipster The Ultra previews Tuesday’s World Cup Qualifiers between REPUBLIC OF IRELAND V SERBIA and AUSTRIA V SCOTLAND both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

REPUBLIC OF IRELAND V SERBIA

7.45pm We start the final round of World Cup Qualifiers for this International break on Tuesday, and we have two vital games for Ireland and Scotland. It was nice to land our Ireland lay at 1.61 on Saturday; but it just highlights again a major issue for them – when teams sit behind the ball they can’t break them down. This manager has a lot of good grace because he has the League of Ireland supporters behind him; but at what point do general Irish football fans say enough is enough? The results just aren’t coming. Ireland played very well away to Portugal; but they have been doing that for a long time under different managers. Being away from home against an attacking side will always suit Ireland; but they aren’t improving in terms of creating chances when they have home advantage against a side at the same level as themselves. There’s many questions for the Irish camp to consider going forward.

As you can imagine given the situation with Irish football, we’re going to have some big opinions either way on Ireland’s price on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. Ireland come into this game as underdogs and you have to feel that tag suits them. Their price is too big to lay at 3.55, so this game is all about deciding what offers more value – the draw or the Serbia win. Given the lack of chances Ireland create, I struggle to see how they can win. Although you have to consider that Serbia are a bigger side than Ireland, so they will attack more and that will give Ireland a chance to counter-attack which suits them. Serbia top Group A coming into this game, having managed a 2-2 draw with Portugal and winning their other three games. They beat Luxembourg 4-1 on Saturday; and Luxembourg have already beaten Ireland in this Group. This is a game for small stakes, however given how bad Ireland are at the moment, Serbia should win here and they are worth backing at 2.24.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Serbia to beat Republic Of Ireland at 2.24 with BETDAQ Exchange.

AUSTRIA V SCOTLAND

7.45pm Next we move to Group F and this is a massive game for Scotland. Denmark have recorded five wins from five games so far, and with them five points clear at the top of the table it looks like they should top the Group. That leaves a huge battle for the second spot, which is becoming a fascinating situation. Austria, very surprisingly may I add, lost 5-2 to Israel on Saturday and that has opened the Group up for second. Many football fans would have expect Austria to finish second in this Group, and now Israel have ten points, Scotland eight and Austria only have seven after five games. This game is huge for Scotland, because a loss would be a huge dent in their qualification hopes. On the flip side; how big would a win be? There’s going to be a lot of very nervous Scotland fans here!

Prior to this World Cup Qualification starting, you would have said Austria are a level or two above Israel and Scotland but we just haven’t seen that so far. Scotland managed a draw with home advantage and then Israel managed to beat Austria Saturday. Perhaps home advantage comes into things, especially with fans back in most stadiums now, but I feel the 1.88 on Austria is too short here. I expect Scotland to make the game a lot closer than those odds suggest and I’m happy to lay the 1.88 for a small stake. Austria just haven’t played to their level yet in this Group, and I can’t have them odds on here.

The Ultra Says:
One point lay (liability) Austria to beat Scotland at 1.88 with BETDAQ Exchange.
