MAN CITY HAVE A TOUGH TASK AT SPURS: I want to start this week with Man City who play Spurs at White Hart Lane on Saturday. This doesn’t look good for Man City and at slight odds on, I want to Lay City tomorrow.

I think with Vincent Kompany likely to still be out, that is not ideal but I’m more worried about his partner, Mangala. I see no signs of him being a defender who has matured or grown and he doesn’t look like a defender who understands the game. When I watch him, I always feel he’s deeper when he should be pushing up and he’s moving forward, he should be dropping back.

I’ve thought, for a few years, that City have struggled to find the right partner for Vincent Kompany and when he’s not there, it’s even harder. But I just don’t think Demichelis isn’t good enough and Mangala isn’t good enough.

kaneIf there is any niggling doubt about whether I think Man City will win the title, it’s in the heart of the defence. Yaya Toure is fantastic on the ball, he can drive forward and he shows great pace when he’s got the ball but when he doesn’t show that same pace is when he’s chasing somebody.

It was so evident against West Ham, two or three times in the game where Toure just watched someone run straight passed him and that defence is not good enough to let that happen.

I don’t like falling over two defeats but I think this is a much tougher game for City than the way the prices are. I think City should be 2.25 or 2.5, not odds on, I just don’t see that price.

Even though Kane (pictured) hasn’t scored, I don’t think that Harry is doing anything wrong really. His game is there, he’s making himself a nuisance and it’s only a matter of time before he does score. If there is one person that you want to come up against, it’s Mangala and the Man City defence and you’ll get chances to score.

Tottenham have had a slow start to the season but it’s still early and I think they will improve. Their players are getting fitter and better, I just think they are in a good position and they probably haven’t got the points they deserve so far. This is a tough game for City and if this is the week where things start to click for Harry Kane, he could do a lot of damage.

I’m out to Lay Manchester City.

ARSENAL TO GET THEIR JUST REWARD

On the other side, I want to be Backing Arsenal.

Teams like Leicester are the ones that Arsenal do well against. They’ve always struggled going to the likes of Chelsea, Man United, Man City and I think they could take Leicester apart here.

Leicester were nearly out of the game last week with Villa playing open, expansive football and that’s how Arsenal play. They’re slight odds on but this is game that I feel Arsenal will win 9 times out of 10.

I think Leicester play really good football, they always want to stretch the opposition but I like the Arsenal back four, I think it’s really strong. The defeat at Chelsea last week, well I don’t think anyone could have foreseen what would happen with two players getting sent off, everything that could have gone wrong went wrong, but I think they are well capable of going to Leicester and dominating and I’m sticking with Arsenal.

STOKE LOOK GREAT VALUE AT HOME

I know I opposed them last week, I’m going with Stoke to beat Bournemouth.

At home, last season, Stoke were really good and, I know it seems strange because they lost the lead and ended with a draw, but the Leicester result could be a turning point for them because they were superb for 45 minutes. This was the best Stoke have played all season and Bournmouth will let them play as they like.

Bournemouth have a tough task here going to the Brittania and with Bojan Krkic coming back for Stoke, it gives them something different and he can make Stoke play a different way.

I think Bournemouth could find things tricky while they’re on the road this season and I do feel that Stoke are better than what they’ve shown this year and I’m backing Stoke at a nice price of 2.55 on BETDAQ. Stoke’s price is more reflective on their first few performances but I think they should be closer to Evens playing a team that is just out of the Championship.

6 GAMES RULE!

We must always remember that at this point, we are only 6 games into the season and I get asked this question so often; ‘Who do you think will win the title?’ but I always think it’s so important to wait for at least six games before I make a decision.

Having watched six games, as a punter, now you know a bit more about what you need to be looking for.

At this point, I’d be looking to Lay Liverpool more often because I’m not quite sure what style of football they’re playing and I don’t think they’re going to make the Champions League next season. We’ve seen so many times this season with Sunderland who are virtually out of the game by half time with them going two and three nil down by half time and we can see this clearly now.

After six games you’ll always have a fair assessment on how things will be looking very shortly and how teams are going to play and it’s so important to wait before making a decision.
