It’s Sheffield tonight on my way home from Donny for a night at the ‘barkers’.

The final at 9.19 looks hard, five local dogs that should go to Elaine Parker or Barrie Draper although Trap 5 Pay Freeze would prefer to be drawn closer to the rail and represents a small lay at around 2.5 in a race blessed with ‘EP’.

The race I like is the sprint the 8.04……

Trap 1 Floral Jake 3/10 in tp 1 and 3/21 in graded sprints currently 10 without a win, a best time of 16.29, has some to find on the clock.

Trap 2 Bowtime Fella sets a good standard over CD with 11 wins. His best recent time of 15.97 would prefer this trap over 1 but needs to avoid a coming together with 3.

Trap 3 Wajas Trump 11/27 a tight railer, 7 recent wins at Notts all out of red or blue. 1/5 out of 3, trailed moderately 16.27. Over CD on 4th Sept, must step up and has a shocking draw to beat.

Trap 5 Knockbawn Raven would prefer 4 bends 1/6 in sprints,16.21 over CD out of 4 but held by 2 and 6 on recent starts.

My selections are 4 with a saver on 6.

Trap 4 Droopys Quincy showed signs of a return of form at Hove last week. On the 7th of May he broke the TRACK RECORD with a time of 15.80 out of 4 at Sheffield, straight down the middle ‘get on’ at around 3.5. Have a small saver on Trap 6 Knocknacree Ash at around 14.0 who has a great draw and is overpriced if there is early crowding.

Good Luck
