WEEK AHEAD: After a thrilling week that included the Grand National, The Masters, and the return of the IPL, the action doesn’t stop with the Champions League, FA Cup, and the Italian Grand Prix seeing us through this week.  


The week of sport starts on Monday with T20 cricket from South Africa as they host Pakistan on Sky Sports at 13:30. Shortly after there’s more T20 action, which is now a mainstay of the week with the IPL back in action, as Rajasthan Royals face the Kings XI Punjab. The Premier League is back in action Monday evening as West Brom face Southampton and Brighton play Everton at the Amex.  

Tuesday there’s more IPL action this time with KKR facing the reigning champions Mumbai before the Champions League is back on our screens later in the evening. Chelsea and Porto face face-off at Stamford Bridge with the London side having a 2-0 victory behind them, while PSG and Bayern Munich set out to battle after the French side secured a narrow victory in their first-leg thriller. Both games can be seen on BT Sport at 20:00 At the same time on WednesdayBorussia Dortmund and Man City take each other on after Pep’s side took the victory in the first leg. Liverpool and Real Madrid close out the final game of the quarter finals with Klopp’s men having their work cut out at Anfield after losing 3-1 in the first leg last week in Spain.  

The Europa league is the highlight of Thursday with the Manchester United and Arsenal the two English sides in action as they face Granada and Slavia Prague respectively. Also getting underway late in the evening is Day 1 of the RBC Heritage that will be music to the ears of golf fans as they recover from the drama of last week’s Masters.  

South Africa and Pakistan continue their T20 series with another fixture on Friday early in the afternoon before another IPL fixture as the Kings XI face MS Dhoni’s Chennai on Sky Sports. The Premier League returns to action on Saturday with West Ham continuing their drive upwards in the table facing the challenging journey north to Newcastle, while Wolves and Sheffield United are also in action. Hot on the back of their Champions League exploits both Chelsea and Manchester City are in action again but this time in the FA Cup as their fixture can be seen live on BBC at 17:30. 

Arsenal and Fulham are in action on Sunday and get us off to a nice start before settling into the Italian Grand Prix as Lewis Hamilton looks to continue his perfect start to his record-breaking campaign. There is yet more IPL action through the afternoon along with Burnley’s visit to Old Trafford as they face Manchester United at 16:00. Shortly after that it’s the culmination of the RBC Heritage where we can only hope for as much drama as we saw last week at Augusta.  

Another top-end week of sporting action, that shows no signs of slowing down.
