Minella Times is the market leader but his only win over hurdles came on soft ground over two miles.
He has shaped well enough in two of his three starts over fences but I am not convinced that the three mile trip will suit him on faster ground.
Preference is for Demi Plie who runs in the same JP colours as the favourite. The mare was very impressive at Listowel last time out over today’s trip and going winning by six lengths with enough in hand to suggest that she can defy the resulting penalty here.
Lord Schnapps also comes into the reckoning after a good recent run at Sligo and he may have needed that spin after a break.
