FORTUNE COOKIES ARE 2-2

FORTUNE COOKIES are two from two and looking forward to Christmas presents at Chepstow, Kempton and Leopardstown, with an earlier bet, Jonbon, a likely runner at Ascot on Friday. Results update:

WON 4-1 PROTEKTORAT
WON 1-1 BLAZING KHAL
(50 points profit to 10-point stakes)

🏇🏻 Allaho (Willie Mullins): 13.0 in the BETDAQ Sportsbook for the King George at Kempton on Boxing Day, but also engaged December 27, 28 Leopardstown.

For Cheltenham in March, he’s quoted 3.0 for the Ryanair Chase, but also 8.0 Champion Chase, 17.0 Gold Cup.

🏇🏻 A Plus Tard (Henry de Bromhead): Savills Chase, Leopardstown, December 28; he’s 4.0 with BETDAQ for the Gold Cup, Cheltenham, March 18.

🏇🏻 Blazing Khal (Charles Byrnes): (WON 1-1, Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle, Cheltenham, Saturday, December 11).

Made a bad mistake two out on Saturday but impressive after, cruising to a second defeat of Gelino Bello. He almost doubled his previous winning distance over that one, despite having to carry a 5lb penalty.

🏇🏻 Bravemansgame (Paul Nicholls): Ryanair Chase or Stayers Hurdle, Cheltenham, March 17.

🏇🏻 Commodore (Venetia Williams): See How They Ran (Sunday story in Daqman): Ascot Silver Cup, Saturday December 18; Warwick Classic, January.

🏇🏻 Fil d’Or (Gordon Elliott): Chepstow, December 27

🏇🏻 Good Risk At All (Sam Thomas): Waiting for him to step up in trip.

🏇🏻 Janadil (Willie Mullins): 13.0 BETDAQ Sportsbook, Ryanair Chase, Cheltenham.

APATHY FOR ATHEBY

⭕ 1.45 Chelmsford Atheby opened up around evens for this seven furlong maiden and despite drifting since on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE is hard to build a big case for at short odds.

The Jane Chapple-Hyam trained runner was third on his debut here and has failed to win on the turf in four starts since. There have been a couple of creditable placed efforts but he might not be entirely straightforward given he hung right in the closing stages of his latest race at Newmarket when last of six. There’s no headgear applied today and he might be vulnerable to a less exposed improver.

Roamin In Gloamin could be the one to take advantage. He improved considerably on his Kempton debut when chasing home Harry Three at Kempton last time out. The winner was a 1/8 favourite and would have won further than the official length and a quarter but for meeting trouble in running so it’s quite hard to assess the value of the form. The third and fifth from the race have run decent races since though and whilst Roamin In Gloamin probably needs to improve again to land this that can’t be out of the question on just his third start.

NAP SCREAMS OUT

⭕ 6.30 Wolverhampton I talked about ABC in my intro, well I’m hoping finding this winner will more be a case of 321. That’s what I’m hoping Screaming Petrus’s form figures will read after this race.

Trained by David Loughnane who is running at a strike rate of 3 from his last 15, Screaming Petrus has been placed twice here over nine furlongs but should be suited by the step-up in trip here to 1m 4f.

He went off favourite last time out on the back of a promising debut but there was probably no disgrace in being beaten by a Godolphin debutant and he is unlikely to meet anything of that calibre here. He was doing his best work at the end and will hopefully relish the extra trip.

Serena’s Symphony was second on debut at Chester behind the odds-on shot Gaassee but beaten a National Hunt distance of 15 lengths. If you take the winner out, it was an encouraging debut but the grey filly now has to prove herself on the artificial surface too.

THE EAGLE HAS LANDED

⭕ 7.30 Wolverhampton This Ones For Fred is up 6lb for a win over a longer trip here and given he has struggled off this mark in the past my instinct is to take him on.

Eagle One made a promising start for his new stable over course and distance last week and a reproduction of that effort might be enough. The hope is that he is now freshened up and potentially on a winning mark.

DAQMAN’S BETS (staked to win 10 points)
BET 3.3pts win ROAMIN IN GLOAMIN (1.45 Chelmsford)
BET 10.0pts win (nap) SCREAMING PETRUS (6.30 Wolverhampton)
BET 5.0pts win EAGLE ONE (7.30 Wolverhampton)

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
