DAQMAN’S GUINEAS BETS FLOWER: Daqman, who named first and second in the 2,000 Guineas on Saturday, top-spotted the 1,000 Guineas winner yesterday. His week included four winning naps out of five and a big handicap winner at 14.5 on BETDAQ.
WON 1-1 DESERT FLOWER (1,000 Guineas, Sunday)
WON 8-1 FLIGHT PLAN (BETDAQ 14.5 taken Saturday)
WON 6-4 COSMIC YEAR (supernap, Friday)
WON 4-11 MAJBOROUGH (supernap, Thursday)
WON 2-1 MARINE NATIONALE (nap, Tuesday)
WON 6-5 SPIRIT OF ACKLAM (nap, Monday)
TODAY: Daqman makes his selections from Bank Holiday racing at five meetings in England and one in Northern Ireland today. It’s also a bank holiday in Ireland, which stages Group races at the Curragh.
BANK HOLIDAY FUNDAY
A feast of Bank Holiday Monday and it’s easy to get carried away so I’m just sticking with three bets but will also recommend a fun Bank Holiday mix of doubles and a treble.
⭕ 2.55 Beverley Hundred Caps is interesting now dropped down to the minimum trip and the Julie Camacho (4 winners from last 21) trained runner also enjoys pole position in stall one.
Whilst the draw at Beverley isn’t as one-sided as in years gone by there is still a distinct advantage to having an inside berth.
Hundred Caps made an inauspicious debut when last at Doncaster but has steadily improved in his three runs since, including on today’s good to firm ground at Thirsk when fifth of 17.
It’s his first try over five furlongs that makes the most appeal though – he was still competitive at the furlong marker at Newcastle last time out before dropping away at the end of the six furlong trip.
He is preferred to main Betdaq Betting Exchange market rival Cape Sovereign who gets no relief from the handicapper and is drawn in six.
GOLD MEDAL CHANCE
⭕ 3.50 Warwick At first glance Rubies Or Gold’s CV doesn’t really draw you in but there was much more promise at Ascot last time when he finished third in a better class 4 race and wasn’t unfancied in the market.
This represents an official one step down the class ladder but in reality it looks more than that as this is a weak contest and he should relish the calmer waters.
I’m A Starman belied his 12 years of age to scramble home by a neck at Carlisle last time out but this looks tougher now raised 3lb and he’s never gone back to back in his career so far.
COMMANDING NAP
⭕ 4.35 Bath Commanding Prince is taken to land his hat-trick for Archie Watson who remains in great form.
He’s won his last two starts with plenty in hand at Newcastle and a starting handicap mark of 82 looks playable against rivals who are now looking very exposed.
Racing Post said 4/9 this morning (which was ridiculously short) – Betdaq says 2.6 in 11am trading which looks generous. Suspect the ‘true’ price is in the middle somewhere.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
