ADELAIDE ‘AWESOME’ FOR DAQMAN: Daqman landed yet another big-race, the Cox Plate in Australia this morning, when Adelaide (WON 7-1) came from last to first under Ryan Moore in an awesome winning run. Daqman goes further ahead of Pricewise in their Flat-season challenge. It’s now 68-31

15-2 AND 11-2 FIRST DAY AT DONNY: It was a great day yesterday in England, with Daqman finding the big-hitters in the BETDAQ-sponsored races, first day at Doncaster. These three took him to 37 points profit overnight:

WON 15-2 SPECTATOR
WON 7-1 ADELAIDE
WON 11-2 KLEO

YOUR WEEKEND BETTING VALUE: Just look at Daqman’s big tipping treats – bankers, naps and bull’s-eye (win 50) bets – all in a value package that beats Pricewise. Here’s his current state of play:

BULL’S-EYE BETS: 211 points profit
BANKERS: Nine in a row: 86 points profit
NAPS: Current sequence: 1111141231311114112113
VALUE CHALLENGE: Flat: Daqman 68, Pricewise 31 (overall 107-43)

GOLDEN CHANCE IN BIG BETDAQ SPRINT

1.40 Doncaster (Apprentice Jockeys’ Series Final) Jack Garrity has 26, Joe Doyle 22 and Megan Carberry 17 but Cam Hardie’s clear on 40. That’s the 2014 (turf) tally for the top ‘boys’ in this race. Not one I want to bet in.

1.50 Newbury (Horris Hill Stakes) Won by Team Hannon three times in the last five years, this is the race that once produced Kris and the handsomest horse I ever saw, Persian Bold.

Richard Hughes chooses Lexington Times of the Hannon pair, and he should win it on Sandown form but stablemate Smaih (7.2 this morning on BETDAQ) will love the ground and the drop back in trip under Frankie Dettori.

2.10 Doncaster Stakes Brian Meehan farms this race – form in eight seasons 103101 – and should again be thereabouts with Growl, dropped down a couple of grades from Group 2.

The grey Shamardal colt, Portamento, will love the conditions. Charlie Hills thinks a bit about Salt Island but he’s not been easy to train.

2.20 Newbury (St Simon Stakes) Quiz Mistress and Rawaki are up against it. There has been only one winner older than four since 1986.

Derby fifth Red Galileo was just pipped on this track in these soft conditions for the Haynes, Hanson and Clark last autumn. Needs a clever ride, just the ticket for Graham Lee, who’s been a bit quiet lately.

There is a big question-mark over Battalion, who swerved away a Kempton race, first run after being gelded. The same ‘snip’ – plus a hood – helped Sky Hunter last time but he has to give 7lb to Red Galileo.

2.40 Doncaster Dashing Star, the ultra-game Emerahldz and Proud Chieftain all like to get a move on. Best returns for three-year-olds in this is 1102111 since 2008, and Emerahldz (8.8 on BETDAQ this morning) has stamina – and courage – to spare.

3.15 Doncaster (BETDAQ Betting Exchange £30 Free Bet Handicap) With a score of 3-4 between them, ages three and four have taken seven of the last eight renewals.

Yesterday they raced down the middle in the sprint, and that’s where Sleepy Sioux (stall 13) should take them forward this afternoon in this red-hot BETDAQ-sponsored cavalry charge.

Likely to be bombing along in the adjacent stall (14) is B Fifty Two, and there’s more potential pace drawn high from Peterkin (18) and Demora (22).

That gives a big shout to Kickboxer (17), who could just about win this on his Listed second at Ascot (Steps behind), though this is his third race in as many weeks and he’s 8lb higher than for his last victory, at Haydock. There was no money for him this morning.

My fancy from the low side is Golden Steps, who has spent his lightly-raced career being restrained over 6f, and it’s worth a pound to see what will happen if they let him go from stall 9 today, the Steps (3) side. They should get a lead from Confessional.

BALLYDOYLE TO LAND JUVENILE DOUBLE

3.10 Leopardstpown (Killavullan Stakes) and 3.50 Doncaster (Racing Post Trophy) Royal Navy Ship, who was fancied to take on Elm Park in the Trophy, stays at home and looks a good thing in the Killavullan Stakes.

Elm Park is the one with Group status already, improving on a Listed success at Salisbury to take the Royal Lodge Stakes at Newmarket. He has scored on three different surfaces – soft, good and good to firm.

Jacobean (4.3 this morning) was favourite when he ran second to Royal Navy Ship at The Curragh, very green that day when badly drawn. I’m reckoning on a Ballydoyle double and, if Royal Navy Ship wins a street, the 4.3 Jacobean will look big value.

‘COOL’ MAN GERAGHTY RULES AT AINTREE

2.00 Aintree With Ruby Walsh now a stay-at-home in ireland, and Tony McCoy still on the injured list, the way is clear for the tiger of the trio Barry Geraghty to land a big-race double this afternoon.

Barry’s ride here, Cool Macavity’s last two wins have come after long breaks, and he fits the stats as a horse aged more than four, less than eight, racing off 11st 8lb or lower.

3.00 Aintree (Old Roan Chase) Winners of this are top-class chasers from the high-weights half of the handicap.

With Paul Nicholls (Rolling Aces) struggling to find some form, Wishfull Thinking aged 11 now, and Rajdhani Exporess and Module never yet able to win after a long break, the way seems clear for Uxizandre.

Alan King’s J P McManus six-year-old is back to the course-and-distance and conditions which saw him win the Manifesto Chase at Aintree in the Spring, and he scored first time up last season. He will be fit as a flea to attempt the Power double next month.

I find the Barry Geraghty duo tremendous value on BETDAQ this morning, 10.0 Cool Macavity and 5.1 Uxizandre for singles and a (0% commission) double of around 44-1.
