CELEBRATE WEEK OF 27 RETURNS: Ultimate Avenue (WON 7-4) yesterday was return number 27 for Daqman in a week of winners, which included three bankers out of four and five consecutive winning lays. Let’s celebrate today with another super Saturday, with another banker and some huge BETDAQ offers.

100-POINT POT-OF-GOLD TARGET: Daqman finds bets at 12.5, 34.0 and 38.0 in his big-race attack on Pricewise of the Racing Post in the 3.20 Newmarket and 3.55 Ripon. His banker opens proceedings at Newmarket. Watch out for varying stakes to suit the strength and value of the bets, including a Pot Of Gold duo to win more than 100 points.

SHOZITA CAN DEFY FAVOURITE HOODOO

2.15 Newmarket The world and his wife want to be on the leniently-weighted Ralph Beckett filly Shozita in this, after she travelled so well and only had to be pushed out at Salisbury on her only start.

Knockers will say that there has been no winner of this race below 11-2 SP. To which the rejoinder is that there’s only ever been one short-priced favourite, Waterway Run (2012).

Oops! Fallen right in the doodoo there.. Waterway Run was trained Ralph Beckett and came to the race after scoring at Salisbury on her only start, woud you believe.

Shozita is the first of 14 weekend rides for champion-jockey Silvestre De Sousa, is highly touted by my man in the long grass, and is taken to beat the hoodoo.

3.05 Newbury (Geoffrey Freer Stakes) An interesting clash of the generations with Kings Fete yet another Michael Stoute improver against Derby fifth Humphrey Bogart.

The stone difference in weight could be the equaliser. I’ll have an outright bet on Bogart (here’s looking at you, kid) but put both in my Daq Multiples.

‘ACLAIM THE CLASS OF THE TOP TWO!

3.20 Newmarket With the stalls on the Stands’ side, high numbers are at a serious disadvantage. Some 15 out of the 18 places in six seasons have gone to the low seven stalls.

Aclaim hasn’t had the best of luck in running the last twice, is dropped two grades, and holds Udontdodou, Still On Top, Sixties Sue and Elronaq on York form in June.

Though he has plenty of weight, his rivals are from lower class, except 3.6 offer Projection, who has even more ‘lead’ in the saddle but was favourite (hampered) in the Stewards Sprint at Goodwood after a good run on today’s course earlier in July.

On a strict line through Paddy Power, Muhadathat comes out in front of Mont Kiara but is drawn 13. Though she hasn’t got the form for it, the ‘fizzy’ Summer Chorus could be dangerous off only 79.

The same stable – Andrew Balding’s – dropped The Graduate into the bottom of a handicap yesterday and it won as favourite at Newbury.

If only he hadn’t told racereaders that the grey might not act on firm ground. ‘Button it, Andrew’, as Clare used to say to the boy.

Aclaim is 12.5 on fears about the ground but Projection’s last win was also on the soft. I think the top two have the class to resists the lightweights in today’s conditions..

POT AT GOLD! 33-1 TATLISU THROWN IN

3.55 Ripon (Great St Wilfrid Handicap) David O’Meara (3) and Richard Fahey (2) have dominated this race in the last five years. But only one winner in the decade has come from a stall higher than 12.

That leaves them struggling, apart from the bottom pair, Tatlisu (in 5) and Mujassam (4), with Tatlisu now dropped 3lb below his Ayr Silver Cup winning rating of last September.

That was the same mark which saw him third in today’s race last year. He’s 8lb better in with the runner-up, Kimberella, albeit the 2015 renewal was on soft ground. Mujassam hasn’t shown much improvement for blinkers and visor.

But Richard Fahey also has a sneaking chance with Nuno Tristan (stall 12), third in the Stewards Sprint at Goodwood. Big field and strong pace suits.

Has Snap Shots’ 4lb rise for scoring over CD on the first of the month cost him this race? That’s what his form suggests.

After two winners on Thursday, his trainer, Tom Dascombe, is on a hat-trick. He and jockey Richard Kingscote strike together at 28% on this course.

Go Far has the form for this but his yard is only 2-49 on turf this year. Bryan Smart does better, and Mythmaker likes a sound surface, and has been freshened up for today.

Like Toofi (never traveling in the Stewards Cup) and George Dryden (placed two from two at Ripon), he is lightly raced this season.

The top three in the handicap are all respected, particularly the irrepressible Orion’s Bow but, if Perfect Pasture is any guide, they are in trouble.

He is now a stone worse off with Tatlisu though finishing well behind him the in the Ayr Silver Cup in September, which is where my analysis came in.

Tatlisu at 34.0 and Mythmaker at 38.0 are big value. I rate them both around 16-1. If I backed them at that (to win 50) I’d need 3.3pts. I’ll keep that stake at the odds I’m offered, Pot Of Gold punts which could boost my returns to 108 points and 122 points respectively.

DAQMAN’S ORDER-IN: 1 Mythmaker, 2 Orion’s Row, 3 Tatlisu, 4 Nuno Tristan
