DAQMAN 100 UP OVER PRICEWISE: Daqman is 4-0 up on Pricewise at Royal Ascot this week and now leads the Racing Post tipster by 100 wins overall, a target he set for Ascot a month ago in this column. He’s done it with still today left.

HE LANDS 41 OF THEIR 50 WINS: He’s had to be patient, waiting on the races decided by Pricewise. There have been 50 wins this season (41-9 to Daqman) and the totals are 182-82 since our man made the challenge at the start of the 2013-14 jumps campaign.

10-1 AND 12-1 ASCOT BIG-HITTERS: He landed Trip To Paris (WON 12-1) in the Gold Cup and Marma’s Boy (3rd 16-1, taken at 18.0 on BETDAQ) on Thursday, when he tipped two in the Gold Cup to Pricewise’s four. Our man scored yesterday with..

WON 10-1 Muhaarar (14.5 on BETDAQ)
WON 5-2 Aloft

NOW HE SETS 200 WINS TARGET: Says Daqman: ‘I’ve got plenty wrong this week (Shamrock to the rescue yesterday), and had a streak of bad luck, too. But 10-1 and 12-1 winners over Pricewise make up for it all. New target? Yes, 200 wins, of course. Declared date? I’ll get the 18 needed by St Leger day.’

KITTEN PURRFECT FOR CHESHAM CONDITIONS

2.30 Royal Ascot (Chesham Stakes) The last two successful in this were maidens, and there have been 22-1, 16-1, 10-1 and 7-1 winners at SP in the last six seasons.

Ballydoyle runs Ballydoyle, sister to Irish 1,000 Guineas winner, Misty For Me. At the other end of the scale, Palawan cost only 6,500gns and would be a bargain Team Hannon winner.

But I think Wesley Ward’s Love The Kitten is the one, sister to Luck of The Kitten, dual one-mile juvenile winner on firm ground, so the Chesham 7f looks good.

Sixth Sense was long ago earmarked for the race by three-times winner Mark Johnston, who took the Coventry this week with Buratino.

Daqman’s verdict: In a race for outsiders, which Ireland rarely wins, I took 12.0 Love The Kitten and 26.0 Sixth Sense, astonishing offers in a 101% BETDAQ orange.

COLLABORATION A LAY ON FIRM GROUND

3.05 Royal Ascot (Wolferton Handicap) Outsiders have done even better than in the opener, with winners at 25-1 (twice), 16-1, 12-1 (three times) 9-1 and 8-1 in the decade.

Good judges took Mount Logan out of Collaboration’s hat-trick winning race at Chester but neither has won on the firm. In fact, Collaboration has been well beaten all starts on GF and looks a place lay (2.74 this morning in the green), not quite in the Shamrock mold of yesterday.

Another hat-trick horse Mahsoob is a short price, 5lb worse off with his York third, First Flight, who is closely matched with Fattsota on York form of last backend. We’ve seen First flight only once since.

Sir Michael Stoute had a shocking day yesterday – two tailed off (one lame) – and the filly Provenance now has the hood removed and tries a tongue-tie.

The Johnston pair, Sennockian Star and Fire Fighting, should go well, but my second outsider here is Ayrad, one of only four in the race to have already scored in the Pattern and, like Mahsoob, Groundbreaking, Mount Logan and Provenance is relatively unexposed.

Daqman’s verdict: A 102% BETDAQ orange offered me 17.5 Ayrad and 17.0 Mount Logan, both with solid win-and-place chances.

EAGLE DETTORI TO POUNCE ON STOUTE TRIO

3.40 Royal Ascot (Hardwicke Stakes) Four-year-olds have won seven consecutive, with Sir Michael Stoute’s form figures since 2006 a stunning 1301101.

But, after his shocking day yesterday, Stoutie gives himself more than a fat chance of victory with three of the seven-runner field.

He won the race with Telescope last year but the entire has had to drop to a Listed to score again since and, though seven lengths behind Telescope in this, it was Hillstar who went on to earn the big money, taking the Woodbine International.

Snow Sky, officially only 2lb behind Hillstar opened his season by winning the Yorkshire Cup with connections claiming he’s a much better animal than the one beaten six lengths by Eagle Top in the King Edward V11 at this meeting a year ago.

Postponed also beat Snow Sky at the end of last season – in the Great Voltigueur – loves fast ground and has been raced two furlongs short of his best in top company this term.

Daqman’s verdict: Sir Michael Stoute has had a very poor Royal Ascot, culminating in two pulled up yesterday, and only Telescope is fancied this morning, with his stablemates in the 15 bar.

The BETDAQ orange adds up to a level-playing field 100% but you have to make a choice between Postponed and Eagle Top. Otherwise, you’ll be opposing an odds-on Stoute team with an odds-on alternative!

Cumani has been closer than Stoute this week but missed strike expensively with Adjam Bridge (second), Pamona (third), Ayaar and Mizzou. So I’ll go for the revitalized Gosden-Dettori team and Eagle Top.

BRAZEN STEAL OF THE DIAMOND BY AUSSIES

4.20 Royal Ascot (Diamond Jubilee Sprint) We’ve seen English, Irish and French Guineas winners at Ascot this week; now here’s the Australian Guineas winner, Wandjina.. running in a sprint!

Wandjina, trained by Gai Waterhouse, the former English actress, tries a hard Aussie act to follow: the memorable Black Caviar defeat of the French ace Moonlight Cloud in this in 2012.

Wandjina and another flyer from down-under, Brazen Beau, (‘the best sprinter in Australia’, says the trainer) are both three-year-olds, which age group scored three in a row in this (2008-10).

You won’t find a Guineas winner in the roll of honour but Wandjina is a big price, offered at 14.0 on BETDAQ in a 102% orange, as I write.

Don’t forget it will be a lightning pace, with plenty of front-runners. Apart from Brazen Beau, there’s another Wesley Ward, Undrafted.

Due Diligence has obviously been trained with this in mind, after running second last year and recovering from an injury since.

Mustajeeb has to be my lay (I’m still trying to get one back at Shamrock!), with his form on firm ground 420, and Lucky Kristale my rank outsider, a big 43.0.

Daqman’s verdict: It’s gotta be the Aussie ace Brazen Beau. Compatriot Wandjina looks more than a social runner with the Classic class to make nonsense of his 14.0 offers. I’ll back both and add Due Diligence for my 1-2-3

WOKINGHAM: HUNTSMAN’S CLOSE AGAIN

5.00 Royal Ascot (Wokingham Stakes) Rivellino, third last year 2lb higher from a middle draw, now has the 27 stall which the first horse home had that day.

Dinkum Diamond, third the year before, will carry 4lb less this time under his claimer, but comes out of gate 2.

The field is likely to split into three groups and all three have prevailed on the new turf since 2006, with three wins for high numbers (22, 27 and 31), three for low (1, 2, 4) and two down the middle (11 and 15).

One high, one low? Intrinsic (stall 29), the 2014 Goodwood Stewards Cup winner, has the drive of Richard Hughes in the saddle but looks lined up for Goodwood again.

So I prefer Huntsman’s Close (17), who just missed a big sprint prize at the Guineas meeting and whose stable is in cracking form.

On the other side, Gamesome (stall 5), who was fifth that day at Newmarket, seemed the one to take out of the a race which contained many lines to the form of these good handicap sprinters.

In the next-door stall, Zarwaan, who ran well in the Britannia last season, drops back to sprinting and makes up my 1-2-3

Daqman’s verdict: I’m taking that Newmarket sprint as my guide, which gives me 11.0 Gamesome and 13.5 Huntsmans Close, with a bit each way Zarwaan (17.5).

MARZOCCO TO MAKE UP FOR MISFORTUNE

5.35 Royal Ascot (Queen Alexandra Stakes) The winner invariably comes from the first few in the market (no SP bigger than 10-1 in the decade). But the heavy-ground hurdler Wicklow Brave may be a false favourite.

Daqman’s verdict: Ive saved my nap for a grand finale by Marzocco who would have won last year’s Queens Vase but for being badly hampered. I shall lay Wicklow Brave on the firm surface.

DAQMAN’S BETS (staked to win 30, except for lays)
