CLASSIC RYAN MOORE TIP

⭕ 1.50 York Last year’s winner from gate 12, Tolstoy, has drawn the same stall but is 10lb higher and there hasn’t been a penny for him in his last four starts. Watch the market.

But Yanifer led much of the way in another York race, giving Tolstoy 11lb, and is now 8lb better to catch up on little more than a length, well drawn low and offered 16.5 on Betdaq Betting Exchange this morning.

⭕ 2.05 Sandown Urban Lion’s second at Newbury in April, stepped up two grades to today’s level, was a best-yet.

The fourth horse home, Two Tempting, has franked the form but the third, Classic, a course winner here, reappears today, with a weights pull on Urban Lion.

Classic was beaten only a neck by Two Tempting in today’s race a year ago when the ground was on the soft side.

FINANCER TIM’S 22.0 PLOT

⭕ 2.25 York Tim Easterby and Mrs Emily Roberts won this ladies’ race in 2016 from the same stall 8 with one that hadn’t scored since its two-year-old days.

Financer has much better form, mainly over 1m 2f, improving 16lb since last summer, and today looks well plotted up.

His breeding suggests that this first 12f venture will be the making of this son of Cracksman (Great Voltigeur and Coronation Cup winner) out of a 2m winner related to the dam of Oaks star, Sariska. BETDAQ 22.0 taken.

Also up in trip is Born Ruler, related to winners up to 2m+ and staying-on fourth in the Zetland Gold Cup. Jockey Gina Andrews thinks the ride will give her a 100th winner.

HE’S KEANE TO GO TO TOWN

⭕ 2.40 Sandown Colin Keane, who came over to Newbury for the day on Thursday and won on Blue Bolt, is here for four rides today, including Town And Country; then he’s at Chantilly tomorrow for the French Oaks before partnering Lead Artist at Royal Ascot.

Town And Country was hiked 11lb to the 98 of First Instinct after that one beat her only a head in a Cork Listed before a threeparts of a length third in the Group-2 Sandy Lane Stakes at Haydock.

Coto De Caza was beaten by Star Of Mehmas at Ayr before winning a Cornwallis which has not worked out well.

BETDAQ 41.0 CLOAK CLAIMS

⭕ 3.35 York Of the last eight winners of this sprint, six came out of stalls 1 twice, 2, 3 twice, and 5; two were installed 19 and 20. Not one of them favourite.

Clever Clive Cox has managed to train a winner on both extremes of the draw in the last three seasons: 1/17 and 19/19.

But second and fourth to his Fast Track Harry (stall 5 today) were beaten a total of 22 lengths next time out; The Dragon King sulked the last day after his gelding op (!) and the third Cox runner, CD-winner Diligently at 21.0, may be his best if coping with gate 12.

Maelstrom (out of 15), who has gone up 16lb for a hat-trick, has to leap two grades, as does stall-14 neighbour and William Haggas stablemate Showering.

But Brigid’s Cloak (stall 21) has climbed 21lb in the last four months and is thrown in off 85, claimed off down to 8st 2lb. Stays those vital extra yards needed at York.

Double Rush, going for a hat-trick from the adjacent stall 20, is related on the dam’s side to super sprinter Danehurst. He had Loom well beaten off when scoring at Newmarket in April.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
