RYAN MOORE AT THE DOUBLE: Daqman fancies two Ryan Moore rides at Newmarket today but waits for Newbury this evening for the nap.

WINNERS AT 5-1, 4-1 AND 3-1: Daqman continued to land his decent-priced winner-a-day yesterday, but not enough to keep his head in front. The winners have been 5-1, 4-1 and 3-1.

100-1 DAQ DOUBLES IN SATURDAY DERBYS

There’s 118-1 the double right now. But hold your horses and you can bet on a much bigger certainty about Saturday’s same-day pairing of Irish Derby and Pitman’s Derby.

It is that, if you wait on the BETDAQ markets, the Saturday Daq Multiples facilities will give you a better offer.

I’m referring to the double of Highland Reel at The Curragh and Ridgeway Storm (Northumberland Plate) for the Irish and Pitman’s Derbys, respectively.

They were the top horses in my ABC guides to the two big races but, of course, the race is changing, the draw will change the races, and there are many other doubles combinations which will be for sale or offer on the two Derbys and on other of the day’s big handicaps.

I shall be attempting a single of 100-1 (my ton-up bet, a single staked to win 100) and a double of 100-1 (at least) on Saturday. Having beaten Pricewise 6-0 at Royal Ascot, I’m anxious to get more big wins on my scoresheet. I’ve had 182 in his chosen races. And I want 200.

Meanwhile, I think BHA raceplanning were probably playing Scrabble when they arrived at today’s fixtures debate. They were left with four letters ‘N”. So they had to fit in Newbury, Newcastle, Newmarket and Nottingham on the same day.

Let’s try all four with extra points again if you can double up across-the-cards winners in Daq Multiples.

..AND DOUBLE UP MOORE AT NEWMARKET!

3.10 Newmarket Ryan Moore has had two rides two wins in Baltic Brave’s 15-race career, one of them over today’s CD last July.

Fullon Clarets ran two solid races on firmish ground on the Rowley Mile course here before encountering a soft surface when stepped up to today’s trip.

3.20 Newcastle (Seaton Delaval Stakes) Seven out of nine winners have been aged four or five, with their returns between 9-2 and 10-1 at SP; only one winning favourite in the decade.

Market Share is expected to take them along; Marco Botti keeps the claimer on Lacan, whose form is AW; Wilde Inspiration won well at Haydock, though getting a lot of weight from the runner-up.

Manchester is two grades higher than when the ‘moral at Thirsk giving weight to a narrow winner, and Red Avenger’s last success seems to have been down to first-time blinkers.

The market suggests that Lacan is strongly fancied for this return to turf, and I’ll go along for the ride. Dream Walker could improve for blinkers but needs more rain than is forecast.

3.30 Nottingham More than a third of John Gosden’s first-time handicappers win. That’s a colossal record based on more than 50 runners, and a big vote for Krafty One.

4.20 Newmarket This is the only race in which you have a high-percentage chance of picking the winner today; class-2 heats usually go to form. The rest of the card is low level for a venue of this quality.

But this is a tight handicap. On the face of it Top Boy reverses Nottingham form with Double Up at the revised weights, and has the right amount of pull on Stunned (January at Chelmsford).

But Double Up won very easily at Nottingham, has the Ryan Moore initiative in the saddle and may have most to fear from Discussiontofollow, who has taken on some tough big-field tasks.

Perfect Muse and Normal Equlibrium both look bhigh in the handicap.

8.30 Newbury The one on an upward curve here is Suffused, who ran up to Space Age at Newmarket, before he scored at Royal Ascot.

Bitter Lake (Group>Listed>handicap) and Maybelater (Listed>handicap) seem to be on the downward slope, while Dreamlike and Yankee Mail both failed in handicaps from their maiden.

The Dylan Thomas filly Light Of Love might be the danger, first time in a handicap and getting between 9lb and 19lb from her opponents.
