A KIND OF MAGIC
⭕ 8.10 Kempton Five fillies head to post for this one and a half mile handicap but not all are guaranteed to see out the trip.
Market leader Lesson Of Life hasn’t overly impressed since being stepped up in distance whilst Phrygia is unproven over the trip and is taking a big step-up here.
The value could lie with the Andrew Balding trained Magic Runner who might be suited by the return to the all-weather having finished third over this trip at Salisbury last time out.
It wasn’t sparkling form but the ability to see out the mile and a half may be the biggest factor at play here.
UZINCSO BACK AFTER A BREAK
⭕ 8.40 Kempton A wide open handicap here and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a bigger priced winner pop up.
At double figure odds I’ll take a chance with Uzincso to add to his impressive six course wins.
I like the fact he is returning after a break and more importantly now on a career low handicap mark of 58.
There’s no significant draw bias over this trip but if allowed to pick I’d always want stall one which is what he has here.
FRENCH THEME AT HAMILTON
⭕ 9.00 Hamilton The Charlie Johnston yard had a memorable payday at Epsom on Saturday with Lazy Griff’s silver medal in the Derby and have continued the good form since with three winners from their last five runners.
French Haven should be able to boost the stats with a win in the finale here. The filly has shown much improved form in her last two starts with a win at Newmarket in a higher grade than this and a close runner-up at Nottingham last time out.
The handicapper has been kind and kept her on the same mark and she should be able to justify her position at the top of the Betdaq Betting Exchange market.
Main danger could be Ayr Poet who, despite his advancing years, always seems to put in a big effort over this course and distance.
