EMMET RYAN GIVES THE BEST BETS FOR THE FA CUP: The schedule is getting that extra bit packed for the best teams in EPL betting but this weekend they are looking to ensure they get even more games with do or die games in the FA Cup.

Arsenal face a potentially massive let-down game today away to Brighton. There’s one thing, above all others, that we simply can’t ignore here. This is Arsenal’s best chance of a trophy this season. That is more than enough motivation for Arsenal to want to go after this one hard from the start. I’m not buying the romance angle, Arsenal need this. Last season’s win in the FA Cup was enough to restore faith in Arsene Wenger but with the vultures circling again, it looks like they need a second trophy in as many season.

Brighton will show plenty of pluck in this game but there’s no ignoring the fact that this is a team struggling to retain relevance in the Championship. A run of three wins in four games has helped them create some breathing room but they are still in a relegation battle. Arsenal isn’t just the better team here, it’s the team with more of a reason to care. Take them straight up at 1.57.

Saturday’s headline encounter sees Crystal Palace head to Southampton. Ok, things aren’t great when that’s the headline encounter but the alternative is Spurs and Leicester and I’m not doing that to myself. Fortunately, the game doesn’t have to be good so long as there’s value in the market and Southampton continue to be a Champions League chasing outfit that gets treated like mid-table fodder by punters. Palace have far bigger problems on their plate than a cup campaign, with the Londoners fighting to stay in the EPL. With Southampton dreaming of their best season in living memory, it’s impossible to go against Ronald Koeman’s men. Take Southampton/Southampton on the Half-time/Full-time at 2.6.

The early game on Sunday sees Sam Allardyce’s West Ham head west to take on Bristol City. Once more, Betdaq punters seems a little too taken with the underdogs. City are in good form and well placed to move up to the Championship next season but the Hammers aren’t in a mood for romance. Allardyce’s approach to the game may not appeal to many casual observers but it is brutally effective. I like the Hammers to keep blowing bubbles. Take West Ham at 2.02.
