PREVIEW
There was a full Championship program during the week and Reading’s victory against Derby County moved the club into the final play-off spot. Reading have not had much time to recharge as they welcome Burnley to the Madejski this evening.
Reading have enjoyed plenty of success over Burnley across the past few seasons and they’ve won their past four games against the visitors. The Royals might be feeling the effects of two games in a short space of time, but they are in good enough form not to let that worry them too much.
The Clarets are tenth in the table and have struggled away from Turf Moor in recent games. Tonight’s visitors have lost on three occasions in their previous five away games, with one of their victories coming against a struggling Nottingham Forest side.
Reading’s game at Turf Moor earlier in the season was settled by a single goal and I expect this one to be another tight affair. The last two meetings have been decided by a goal and a similar result looks on the cards. The Royals are hitting the right gear as we approach the business end of the season and another three points are within reach. The Royals have also kept five clean sheets in their last six home league games, so I’d recommend backing the home win at around 1.94 on BETDAQ.
