PREVIEW
Football fans have been spoiled in recent weeks with some truly memorable matches and the North London derby rarely fails to disappoint. It is impossible to name all the highlights, for there have been plenty of them, from Tottenham’s 5-1 win on the way to lifting the League Cup four years ago, to the 4-4 draw at the Emirates the following season, when David Bentley scored from almost the half-way line and Spurs earned a point thanks to two goals at the death.

Only last season, Spurs raced into a two goal lead at the Emirates before an almighty collapse saw them concede five without reply. The visitors will be haunted by that game and given their erratic form, travelling fans will be praying there isn’t a repeat.

Spurs have failed to find the back of the net just once in the league since August, at home to Wigan, but they have routinely been let down by the back five. There has been just one goalless draw in this fixture, in February 2009, since 1998 and the only other occasion when either side failed to register in the last 16 fixtures was Arsenal’s 3-0 win in October 2009.

On home turf I expect the Gunners to take advantage of a nervous looking Spurs, who will likely be without Jermain Defoe. At 1.99 on the exchange, Arsenal should be backed to take all three points and continue their dominance over their rivals at home in the league.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back Arsenal at around 2.04: 4 points

Friday: -5.00 points

NOVEMBER RETURN TO DATE: -4.68 points
