PREVIEW
It’s little surprise to see talk of Harry Redknapp dominate the build up to today’s early kick-off in the Premier League. Having taken Tottenham from the relegation zone in 2008-09 into the Champions League in 2010-11, Redknapp was sacked after a poor end to the season last year.

After a few months out of the game, he has been tasked with saving bottom-placed Queens Park Rangers from the drop and his side host his old club today.

Andre Villas-Boas has enjoyed a far more successful start to his tenure at White Hart Lane than he enjoyed at city rivals Chelsea, but a habit of conceding late goals has arguably cost the north Londoners a tilt at the title. The third-placed side have led at some point in 18 of their 21 league games this season, the joint-most of any team along with Manchester United going into this weekend and in recent weeks have sharpened up that leaky defence.

QPR by contrast have been ahead in just six games – the lowest total in the league – and, although under Redknapp they picked up their first win of the season at Loftus Road against Fulham and then an unlikely 1-0 away win at Chelsea, they have lost three of their last five in total.

Their lack of goals is concerning – they have hit just eight in ten home games – and their only way of containing an attacking Spurs’ outfit will surely be by parking the bus in front of goal.

Boas’ men are growing in confidence, having won seven and lost just one of their last nine league games, and can make it five wins on the bounce in all competitions with victory here.
