The mares maiden hurdle at Thurles yesterday panned out exactly as planned with second favourite Hello Sweetie struggling for stamina in the closing stages and the nap Blazing West swooping late on.

My nap goes in the Dundalk Stadium – Light Up Your Night Handicap at 7.00pm, just the six runners in the six furlong handicap but many are out of form.
The race should develop into a match between top weight Jamesie and Togoville.
Preference is for Jamesie who has a touch of class and was fifth in a Listed contest here last time out over five when Togoville finished seventh.
