O’BRIEN TO STRIKE AT DUNDALK: Bishan Bedi looks the answer to the handicap over a mile on tonight’s Dundalk card.
Aidan O’Brien is having a quite ‘closed’ season with a handful of jumpers and some runners at Dundalk.
Bishan Bedi went down in many peoples notebooks when an unlucky fourth over course and distance last time out.
He was sent off the 7/4 favourite but had to be switched two furlongs out and then met further trouble inside the final furlong. He was beaten around a length and compensation surely awaits in the 8.35 tonight.
He races off the same official mark of 79 – he was raised to that level after an effortless win over seven furlongs here in January after which he was hiked a staggering 14lb – but judged on his latest run he could easily still be well handicapped !!
