STANLEY TO DELIVER: SHAMROCK will have his focus on Royal Ascot all week but a selection at Sligo has caught his eye on Monday.
Stanley Daley can hopefully start Royal Ascot week well for the column in the 6.30 at Sligo – a race run just short of seven furlongs.
This is a big step up in distance for the two-year-old who has had both his races over the minimum trip. He failed to beat any runner home on debut at the Curragh but then showed plenty more at Navan last time out when a staying on fourth to Auld Enemy. The Johnny Murtagh trained runner looks the solid option in a race that should take little winning.
Miss Phillyjinks ran well on her debut at Dundalk when chasing home the odds-on Birdcage but only ran modestly next time at Fairyhouse when 5th of 8 and not helping her cause by being slowly away.
A bigger danger may come from Greyscape who has been placed twice and should just about last out tonight’s trip. He was still in front under a furlong out at Roscommon (7f) last time out.
