That had nothing to do with the performance of yesterday’s nap Mozoltov who bolted home by 24 lengths at the prohibitive odds – but more down to the fact he was one of several Willie Mullins trained runners I was looking at for the nap on the Gowran Park card yesterday.
I thought he would have a hat-full of winners but he ended the card with just the one winner – Mozoltov.Â
So it’s now five naps from the last seven:
Wednesday: Thouva WON 13/8
Thursday: Ballycasey WON 4/6
Friday: Rapid Approach (2nd 15/8)
Saturday: Moscow Mannon WON 10/11
Sunday: Pride Ofthe Parish WON 1/3
Wednesday : Benbecula (2nd evens)
Thursday: Mozoltov WON 1/4
The opening maiden on the Dundalk card should be fought out between two horses who shaped well over course and distance on debut.
Mischief N Mayhem and Opera Gloves were 2nd and 3rd on debut in different divisions of the same maiden.
It might be that the first division in which Opera Gloves was third was the better leg and Opera Gloves would seem to have the scope for the greatest improvement.
