THREE ROYAL ASCOT NAPS: After landing Royal Ascot NAPS at 5/2, 5/2 and 8/15 SHAMROCK heads to Gowran Park on Sunday for his best bet of the day.
Air Vice Marshal should get favourite backers off to a good start at Gowran Park this afternoon.
He was beaten 6 1/2 lengths into third on debut at the Curragh behind Rockaway Valley and should improve for both the experience and the extra furlong.
1.35 on BETDAQ looks a little skinny though, given there are a couple of interesting debutants. I am quite happy to just watch him win at that kind of price.
A better bet might be Clonard Street in the finale which looks at his mercy in the absence of the Aidan O’Brien trained Royal Navy Ship.
Clonard Street finished second to Ol’Man River in last season Beresford at the Curragh which also came on fast ground.
The Ger Lyons trained Lat Hawill did well to finish second in a Listed race last time but hasn’t really given the impression that this extended trip will suit and looks the wrong favourite.
