GRADE 1 ACTION AT NAAS: The Lawlor’s Hotel Novice Hurdle pitches together the unbeaten paid Free Expression and Tell Us More.
Good card at Naas this afternoon and what looks to be a fascinating match for the inaugural running of the Lawlor’s Hotel Novice Hurdle between Free Expression and Tell Us More.
Both are unbeaten but it’s Free Expression who has already proved himself in better company by winning the Grade 2 Monksfield at Navan last time out.
After the race winning trainer Gordon Elliott said: “It will be a good race and Naas will tell us a lot more about our horse. He is in good nick and he is a big chaser down the road. Whatever he does over hurdles will be a bonus, but I’d like to think that he could be a horse for one of the good staying novice hurdles in the spring.”
He may have a big job on his hands today though as Willie Mullins saddles Tell Us More who is already prominent in the Cheltenham ante-post lists and couldn’t have been any more impressive when winning his maiden hurdle at Gowran Park. Today we’ll find out how good he really is.
In the beginners chase at 2.30 the Willie Mullins trained Florishwells D’ete should hold a fitness edge over chief market rival Whatwillwecallher.
