TWO NAPS OUT OF TWO at 7/2 and 2/1: SHAMROCK landed his second winning nap in a row with LEAN AND KEEN at Ballinrobe who stormed home by an astonishing 15 lengths at 2/1. Can he get the NAPS hat-trick today?

I had to double check the 7.30 at Ballinrobe last night was a flat race. The winning distances were 15 lengths and 21 lengths over 1m 1f 100 yards !!

Lean And Keen again showed his liking for the soft ground and absolutely romped home.

So it’s now TWO NAPS IN-A-ROW:

Sunday: HOME OF THE BRAVE (NAP) WON 7/2
Monday: LEAN AND KEEN (NAP) WON 2/1

Back to Ballinrobe tonight where they stage a jumps card on expected soft ground.

Best bet for me comes in the Mayo News Maiden Hurdle at 6.20.

The race has a different complexion now that Cliffside Park has been taken out and I think the safest bet looks to be Way Wild West who, although has been off the track for over 200 days, does have proven form on soft ground. He was third in a Thurles maiden last year on soft ground.

Georges Conn has been off the track for even longer and his best form has been on fast ground. Two big questions to answer for him.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Way Wild West (6.20 Ballinrobe)
