BUSY DAY BOTH SIDES OF THE IRISH SEA: SHAMROCK looks at the Musidora Stakes at York and the Group 3 Blue Wind Stakes at Naas this evening.
Aidan O’Brien had a successful raid on Chester last week including Hans Holbein in the Chester Vase and has some good ammunition to fire on the Knavesmire this week too.
In today’s Tattersalls Musidora Stakes at 3.45 he must be very hopeful of a good run from Together Forever who is trading at a very tempting 3 on BETDAQ at the time of writing.
She has a Group race penalty – but is the winner of a Group 1 – the Dubai Fillies’ Mile at Newmarket and already has proven form in the book over the favourite Star Of Seville who clearly has plenty of potential but looks too short in the market.
At the prices, I have to favour Together Forever to give O’Brien a first success in the race.
At Naas tonight the feature race is the Group 3 Blue Wind Stakes at 7.05. Aidan O’Brien saddles the debutant Loved but preference has to go to the Dermot Weld trained filly Zannda who was runner-up to Jazzi Top on her seasonal reappearance at Newmarket in the Pretty Polly Stakes.
