FA CUP FOURTH ROUND: The Striker previews EXETER CITY V NOTTINGHAM FOREST with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
EXETER CITY v NOTTINGHAM FOREST
8pm We finish the Fourth Round of the FA Cup on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE as Exeter City host Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night. No doubt most football eyes will be on the Champions League as they begin the Knockout stage – especially Manchester City host Real Madrid – but ITV have pencilled in this game! We’re still at the stage of the FA Cup where we have a big gulf in class between the sides, and Nottingham Forest will be fully expected to progress here. They come into the game as the red-hot favourites at 1.33 with Exeter City 10.0 and the draw is 6.2 at the time of writing.
Nottingham Forest are having a dream season in the Premier League. They currently sit in third at the moment, and while most football fans will be expecting them to fall out of the Top Four as the season goes on – especially with Manchester City outside the Top Four at the moment – Forest fans can dream of Champions League football for the time being! From that point of view, it might be interesting to see do they opt to rest some of their key players here. Forest have some huge games coming up towards the end of February and beginning of March – they play Newcastle, Arsenal and Manchester City in a row.
Exeter play their football in League One, and they are sitting down in 18th there. They have a decent cushion on the relegation zone, but obviously they’ve been playing some poor football this season to sit in that position. They have the fourth worst attacking figure in League One with an average xG created of only 1.11 – that’s hardly going to trouble an in-form Forest side. Exeter have also been sloppy at the back – they are conceding over their xG and it’s hard to see past a comfortable win for Forest.
With Forest trading 1.33 in the match odds market, we’ll have to look around the side markets for some value here. There’s no getting away from the fact that Forest have been over-performing in front of goal this season, but they are full of confidence and you can’t knock that. I’m going to keep stakes small, but I like Forest to cover the 1.5 goal handicap here at around 1.8. This is definitely a game for small stakes, but Forest can continue their excellent season with a comfortable win in my opinion.
The Striker Says:
One point win Nottingham Forest -1.5 goals to beat Exeter City at 1.8 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE
