8pm It’s the final matchday in Group B at the FIFA Club World Cup on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE, and we should have a fascinating Monday night! When the draw was made for this tournament, the general opinion was the PSG v Atletico Madrid fixture would decide top spot in the Group. After PSG opened their tournament with an impressive 4-0 hammering of Atletico Madrid, everything seems a formality from there but we could easily see some drama in this Group now after Botafogo shocked PSG to beat them 1-0 last week. The Brazilian clubs have been doing superbly well so far!
We have a fascinating night in store – Botafogo top the Group with six points, then we have PSG and Atletico Madrid both on three. Seattle Sounders have been the whipping boys of this Group, so anything bar a comfortable win for PSG would be a shock here. As you would expect, PSG come into the game as the red-hot favourites. They are trading 1.21 with Seattle Sounders 14.5 and the draw is 8.6 at the time of writing. In the other game, which kicks off at the same time, Atletico Madrid are the odds on favourites at 1.73 with Botafogo 5.3 and the draw is 3.9 at the time of writing.
We could easily still see PSG and Atletico Madrid progress, but at least it hasn’t been as straight forward as it seemed. PSG are in a good position obviously after the 4-0 win over Atletico Madrid – Group standing goes on head-to-head record, and then goal difference – PSG will finish ahead of Atletico Madrid then. Obviously barring has major upsets here, but it’s exceptionally hard to see anything other than a PSG win here. Seattle Sounders have looked a pretty average side. The result was a shock against Botafogo of course, but PSG played very well. They had 75% possession and finished the game with an xG of over 2.0. Football is about taking your chances of course – but PSG can say that they were unlucky.
I can’t see past a comfortable win for PSG here to be honest. But with them trading so short in the match odds market, we’ll have to look around the side markets for some value. Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.48 but the market is expecting PSG to do most of the work there with Both Teams Not To Score trading odds on at 1.72. I actually feel that Seattle Sounders could score at some point – they haven’t sat back in either of their games, and I feel that will make for an entertaining game. I know PSG couldn’t find the net last time out, but they created a huge amount. We should get an entertaining game here; while I couldn’t put anyone off Both Teams To Score, I do like Over 2.5 goals at 1.48 and it’s a confident bet for me to start the week.
