JUVENTUS V WYDAD CASABLANCA

5pm We have a cracking Sunday from the FIFA Club World Cup on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE! All the focus will be on Group G and Group H with Juventus and Real Madrid back in action. They are both trading as the red-hot favourites, and I’m sure the double will be a popular bet this weekend! We kick off the action in Group G with Juventus hosting Wydad Casablanca. It feels like all roads lead to the clash between Juventus and Manchester City in this Group and that will decide who tops it – there’s just a huge gulf in class between the top two and the bottom two here. As expected, Juventus started their tournament with an easy 5-0 win over Al Ain, while Wydad Casablanca lost 2-0 to Manchester City. In fairness to Wydad Casablanca, they kept the score line respectable and performance with credit. The handicap was Manchester City -3.5 goals, and most of the questions after the game to the City players were why didn’t you score more. They used the heat as an excuse, they probably could have scored more if they wanted to but the reality is they didn’t have to get out of first gear. Wydad Casablanca conceded an xG of 1.99, and in fairness to them they created enough that they deserve to score themselves.

Obviously we have another huge gulf in class here though. It’s no surprise to see Juventus come into the game as the red-hot favourites – although they are trading bigger than the Manchester City price to beat Wydad Casablanca! Juventus are 1.3 with Wydad Casablanca 14.0 and the draw is 6.2 at the time of writing. City were one third of that price, around 1.1. Juventus absolutely hammered Al Ain in their opening game, and it’ll be interesting if they can keep the goal scoring going here – they did struggle to create good quality chances in Serie A this season. They finished the season strongly though; they got Champions League football and ended up with the fifth best attacking figure. With Juventus so short in the match odds market, we’ll have to look around the side markets for some value here. It’s interesting to see Over 2.5 goals trading 1.9 – the market is obviously expecting Wydad Casablanca to defend well! Both Teams Not To Score is 1.54, so it’s also expecting Juventus to do most of the work. I do feel Wydad Casablanca will focus on defending here, so I’m happy to take the 1.54 on Both Teams Not To Score, effectively a Juventus clean sheet bet.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Both Teams Not To Score at 1.54 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

REAL MADRID V PACHUCA

8pm We move over to Group H to finish Sunday night as Real Madrid clash with Pachuca. When the draw was made for this Group, it’s fair to say nearly every football fan would have expected Real Madrid to top it without any fuss. Maybe we might see some drama after they could only manage a 1-1 draw against Al-Hilal. We were wondering what level the Saudi Pro League was heading into that game, and the powers that be would have been delighted with that result given all the money Saudi Arabia are spending. You could say that Real Madrid were unlucky – they finished the game with an xG of 2.32 and deserved to win the game. They didn’t dominate possession though. As I said in my preview of that game, the jury is out on Xabi Alonso and how his Real Madrid side will play – he needs more time to be judged though as its early days. Real Madrid also confirmed that Mbappe had to go to hospital with acute gastroenteritis, he’s been released now but he’ll hardly start here. Given the gulf in class between the sides, it would be a shock if we didn’t see Real Madrid win.

It’s not a surprise to see Real Madrid come into the game as the red-hot favourites. We actually have a very similar market to the first game today! Real Madrid are trading 1.31 with Pachuca 11.5 and the draw is 6.6 at the time of writing. Pachuca lost their opening game against Red Bull Salzburg – they actually played very well though. They finished the game with the higher xG figure, and they can definitely say that they were unlucky to lose – if not win after finishing with an xG of 1.97. I kept stakes low for every opening game from each team this tournament, and while they have increased this week, I still feel it’s shrewd to keep stakes low on Real Madrid games at the moment. They need time to bed into the Alonso way. I feel with Pachuca creating so much and Real Madrid playing an open game in general that we’ll see goals here. Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.53 and Both Teams To Score is 1.99. At the odds, I marginally prefer the BTTS option in what should be an open game.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Both Teams To Score at 1.99 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
