LAZIO V UDINESE

7.45pm A massive week from Europe begins on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE with Monday night football! We have action from Serie A and La Liga – we might have some blockbuster fixtures coming up in the Champions League this week, but we do have two interesting markets here to start the week. We start the evening in Serie A with Lazio hosting Udinese. Lazio are hanging in here in the battle for a top four spot; they come into this matchday two points behind Juventus, but Juventus have a difficult fixture against Atalanta. Depending on that result, Lazio could have an excellent chance here to jump over Juventus given Juventus are trading around 2.6 to win on Sunday night, but Juventus have some great momentum at the moment. Lazio come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.79 with Udinese 5.3 and the draw is 3.9 at the time of writing. Udinese come into this game on a good run – they might be sitting in mid-table but they’ve won four of their last five Serie A games, and the other one was a draw away to Napoli. This current run is their best this season so Lazio have a tough task ahead.

Although Udinese will be full of confidence, they did have an easy run on paper. They played Venezia, Empoli, Lecce and Parma – all those sides are sitting in the bottom five coming into this matchday. Obviously their best result was the draw away to Napoli, but you could also say that Napoli have dropped so many points recently the wheels are coming off their season. Udinese are conceding more than they are creating this season, but the positive thing to say about them here is they are creating more away from home this season compared to at home! Lazio have been in excellent form this season though; they’ve really improved going forward and they have the fourth best attacking figure in Serie A. They’ve been solid at the back, and you can easily make the case that they deserve to get a top four finish looking at their under-lining numbers. I respect the fact Udinese have picked up a lot of wins recently and for that reason I will reduce stakes here; however they had a very easy fixture list and Lazio have been levels above that, and they are worth backing at 1.79 to outclass Udinese who have been quite average this season.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Lazio to beat Udinese at 1.79 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

ESPANYOL V GIRONA

8pm We move over to La Liga to finish Monday night football as Espanyol host Girona. Espanyol have had some good momentum recently in the relegation battle – they start this matchday sitting three points ahead of the bottom three. Obviously they are still under pressure, but that’s a nice cushion for the time being. They will view this as an excellent opportunity to claim more points given how far the Girona level has dropped this season. I know they massively over-performed to finish in the top four last season, but they’ve really dropped off the pace this season. They’re only five points ahead of Espanyol coming into this game. We have an open betting heat – Girona come into the game as the favourites at 2.48 with Espanyol 3.25 and the draw is 3.3 at the time of writing. Obviously Espanyol have been struggling this season, so it’s no surprise to see Girona as the favourites – however, Espanyol have proven tough to beat lately. They have been grinding out a lot of results; they’ve only lost twice in their last ten La Liga games. I wouldn’t be rushing to take the 2.48 on Girona here; although they did win 4-1 when the sides met earlier in the season.

While you have to give Espanyol credit for grinding out as many results as they have done recently under immense pressure in the relegation battle – it’s hard to make a case to support them looking at their under-lining numbers. They have an average xG created as low as 1.0; that’s the second worst attacking figure in La Liga. Not only that, but they have the second worst defensive figure with an average xG conceded of 1.65 – they are actually doing well to be out of the bottom three looking at their figures. Girona have been a side to be against this season, so I’m going to stay out of the match odds market here. I was surprised to see Over 2.5 goals trading as high as 2.34 when I clicked into the market, and Both Teams To Score is a shade of odds on at 1.92. Girona have been quite sloppy at the back this season, so I’m happy to take a chance on goals here at the odds. We should see plenty of mistakes at the back on either side.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Over 2.5 goals at 2.34 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
