SUNDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews BOLOGNA V INTER MILAN from Serie A and REAL MADRID V ATHLETIC BILBAO from La Liga both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
BOLOGNA V INTER MILAN
5pm We have a Sunday from Europe right out of the top drawer on Betdaq Betting Exchange this week! We have some top class action with two superb games from Serie A and La Liga. We kick off the day in Serie A as Bologna host Inter Milan – you only have to look at the table to see how big this is for both sides. Inter Milan come into this weekend leading the title race by three points, while Bologna have fallen out of the top four with a draw and a loss in their last two games. They did have a difficult fixture list having to play Napoli and Atalanta though – they are still only two points behind Juventus. We have a reasonably open betting heat here as you can imagine, on paper it feels like a very close game. Inter Milan are the favourites at 2.44 with Bologna 3.45 and the draw is 3.2 at the time of writing. This should be a high quality game of football – Inter have the best attacking figure in the league and Bologna are in the top five. While Bologna have the best defensive figure in Serie A this season, Inter Milan are in the top three.
Bologna are the only side in Serie A this season with an average xG conceded under 1.0; they have been rock solid at the back, and it’s clear to see that Inter are going to have to work very hard to win here. I wouldn’t be rushing to take the 2.44 on Inter, especially given how strong Bologna have been at home this season – they’ve only lost once at home all season in Serie A. Another option to consider has to be Under 2.5 goals at 1.77 with both sides in the top three defensive figures this season. With the stakes so high, I’s highly likely we have a cagey game here to be honest. I couldn’t put anyone off the Inter lay or the Under 2.5 goals option, but everything I see here points to a very close game. While a draw will be a blow to both sides – Bologna top four and Inter title race – I do feel the draw is a nice value option at 3.2. It’s hard to see past a very close game here, especially with so sides so solid at the back.
The Ultra Says: One point win Draw at 3.2 with Betdaq Exchange.

REAL MADRID V ATHLETIC BILBAO
8pm We move over to La Liga to keep the top class Sunday action coming. Real Madrid host Athletic Bilbao after a very different week for both sides in Europe – Real Madrid were dumped out of the Champions League by Arsenal, although the writing was on the wall there after the first leg 3-0 loss. While Athletic Bilbao got the better of Rangers to book their place in the Europa League Semi-Final. They meet Manchester United there and obviously they have been quite poor this season so now they have an excellent chance of getting to a major European Final. By the time Real Madrid kick off here, they could easily be seven points behind Barcelona; indeed it would be a shock if they weren’t. They are at the stage of just aiming to win every game and see what happens – they still have an El Clasico Copa del Rey Final to look forward to as well. Real Madrid come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.72 with Athletic Bilbao 5.5 and the draw is 4.1 at the time of writing. I have to say, at the moment it would take a brave punter to back Real at odds on.
Athletic Bilbao are having a great season, and they’re going to get Champions League football next season too which they deserve. With Girona and Sevilla – both previously top four clubs going backwards – that fourth spot is Bilbao’s to keep if they hold this level. They’ve been very tough to beat this season; only losing four times which is less than Real Madrid and Barcelona. Obviously they have had a lot more draws, but it does make the 1.72 on Real feel a little short here. Especially considering that they have been leaking goals for fun lately – they managed to keep a clean sheet against Alaves last weekend, but they only kept one clean sheet from their nine previous games. Bilbao beat Real 2-1 when the sides met earlier in the season when they had home advantage, and I’m happy with the 1.72 lay from a value point of view. Bilbao can make this one a lot closer than odds on 1.72 suggest.
The Ultra Says: Two points lay (liability) Real Madrid to beat Athletic Bilbao at 1.72 with Betdaq Exchange.
