FIFA CLUB WORLD CUP: The Ultra previews BENFICA v BAYERN MUNICH with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
BENFICA V BAYERN MUNICH
8pm The FIFA Club World Cup continues on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE, and we finish Group C on Tuesday! This Group has pretty much gone as you would have thought when the draw was made; Bayern Munich are sitting top with two wins from two games, and then you have Benfica in second with a gap Boca Juniors in third. Auckland City have been the whipping boys of this Group; they are out already with two losses from two games; embarrassed in their opening game losing 10-0 to Bayern Munich! Not often you see score lines like that these days!
When the draw was made you would have said Bayern Munich and Benfica would be the top two, and bar a big win for Boca Juniors over Auckland that should be the case. However, Auckland have conceded ten against Bayern Munich and six against Benfica – it’s likely we’ll see a massive win for Boca Juniors so Benfica could easily be looking at the score line here. As things stand, Benfica have a goal difference of +6 and Boca Juniors have a goal difference of -1. That’s a massive gap now, but you’d have to imagine it could get close given the final fixtures. Benfica could still jump over Bayern Munich given they are only two points behind, so I can’t see Bayern resting a lot of players here either.
Things might get interesting if Boca put five past Auckland in the first half! Anyway, this should be a high quality game. As you would expect, Bayern Munich come into the game as the favourites at 2.02 with Benfica 4.8 and the draw is 3.3 at the time of writing. I have to say I was a little surprised to see Bayern trading odds against when I clicked into the market. I know it’s only marginal, but I expected to see them trading odds on. Benfica had the better possession against Boca Juniors, but they could only manage an xG of 1.23 which included a penalty which accounts of 0.80.
Not only were Bayern superb going forward this season, they were exceptionally good at the back in the Bundesliga. They finished the season with an xG conceded of 0.88 – that was obviously the best defensive record in the Bundesliga, but it was also one of the best defensive records around Europe. I know Benfica hammered Auckland, but obviously Auckland have looked exceptionally limited and I don’t see Benfica causing Bayern a lot of problems here to be honest. It is tempting to back Both Teams Not To Score at 2.24 which would effectively been a Bayern clean sheet in my opinion, but I feel we’re getting cracking value on Bayern at 2.02 here and at those odds they are worth a very confident bet for me.
The Ultra Says:
Four points win Bayern Munich to beat Benfica at 2.02 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
