COPPA ITALIA TUESDAY: The Ultra previews INTER MILAN v COMO with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
INTER MILAN V COMO
8pm It’s crunch time in the Coppa Italia this week as we have the Semi-Final second legs on Betdaq Betting Exchange! We kick off on Tuesday night as Inter Milan host Como at the San Siro. The tie is perfectly poised after a goalless draw in the first leg back in early March at Como, and with the away goals rule no longer in play, any draw after 90 minutes will send us to extra time and potentially penalties. With Atalanta or Lazio in the other Semi-Final, both sides would fancy their chances in the Final in Rome, so a huge night awaits us here.
Inter have been absolutely superb in Serie A this season. A commanding 3-0 win over Cagliari on Friday night extended the lead at the top of the table, and it’s extremely difficult to see them getting caught now. Obviously away to Como is a tricky fixture, but when the sides met here earlier in the season Inter won 4-0. They also beat Como 4-3 when the sides met in Serie A recently too. Como will point to the xG figures and say they were perhaps unlucky, but still. There’s no getting away from the fact that Inter have been the best side in Italy this season – Inter’s average xG created of 1.97 remains the best attacking figure in Serie A, and their average xG conceded of 1.02 is also the best defensive figure.
Como have had an excellent season, but they are under pressure at the moment. Back-to-back losses has saw them drop out of the Champions League spotted; granted at the start of the season not many would have given them a chance to actually battle for Champions League football. Their performance levels have been excellent though – their average xG created of 1.61 is the fourth best attacking figure in the league and their average xG conceded of 1.05 is the second best defensive figure. Obviously they are a little off Inter’s level in attack, but Fabregas has built something genuinely special here. They’ve probably been the success story in Europe this season given the size of the club and what an immense job Fabregas has done.
It’s no surprise that Inter come into this Coppa Italia tie as strong favourites given home advantage, current form and their performance level this season. Inter are trading 1.77 with Como 4.9 and the draw is 3.9 at the time of writing. Como’s defensive numbers are among the very best in Italy and Fabregas is a manager who has shown he can organise and frustrate, however he has to find something here. When the sides have met in Serie A, Como have conceded eight goals to Inter this season. I know Como are a top side, but I have to say I felt Inter would be shorter than 1.77 here with home advantage. I’m not going to go crazy with the stakes here, but the 1.77 feels too big to ignore in what should be a cracker.
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Inter Milan to beat Como at 1.77 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
